Anna Rickert

OWNER

Hi, I’m Anna Rickert, the owner of Pup Culture Dog Walking and Pet Sitting. I grew up in Minnesota with a household of pets and have loved animals ever since. Right now I have two fur babies (a cat and dog) of my own: Ellie and June. Ellie is a tabby cat who I adopted from the Animal Ark and June is a black lab mix who I adopted from the Humane Society in Golden Valley. June is an escape artist and is reactive when she is on leash, so we have worked extensively on her leash manners. I attended the College of Saint Benedict and majored in English and secondary education. I was a middle and high school language arts teacher for nine years, but I decided to trade in working with children for my real dream of working with animals. I have volunteered as a foster dog mom and have fostered over fifteen foster dogs in my home. I also volunteered as a case manager for The Retrievers for years. My work in rescue and with The Retrievers has made pets’ safety a top priority at Pup Culture. I believe strongly in respecting and loving all animals, so I became a vegan a couple years ago. I am also certified in pet first aid and CPR. I currently serve on the board of the Professional Pet Sitters of Minnesota, and I’m committed to fostering connections and professionalism in the pet care industry.

For years I was unable to own a dog because of long work hours and travel, so I understand the guilt that busy people who own pets often feel. I strive to offer the type of service that I would want as a pet parent. I am dedicated to providing you with reliable, friendly service, so you don’t have to worry about your pet when you are gone. We provide safe, healthy dog walks and pet-sitting with lots of loving.

Meet The Team

All of our pet sitters and dog walkers are insured and bonded, background checked, and receive ongoing pet care training including pet first aid/CPR and Fear Free training. Our staff are committed to ensuring the safety of your pets and your property.

Julie

Julie

Dog Walker

Hi, my name is Julie. I have worked for Pup Culture since 2016. I have lived in Maple Grove since 2003 with my husband and two daughters. I have fostered animals from the Humane Society for many years. I adopted Remy in 2019. She is a rat-terrier mix. She is a joy to come home to since my two daughters are grown up and have their own lives. Remy and l go to the dog park every day after work. We have both made new friends there. I’ve worked for many years as a florist and still enjoy gardening and landscaping at home. I will always love and care for your four-legged family members as if they are my own.

Sarah

Sarah

Pet Sitter

Hi, I’m Sarah! I live in Eden Prairie and I’ve been with Pup Culture since 2018. I have two cattle dog mixes (Juniper & Finnegan), two orange tabby cats (Niles & Curry) and a mouse named Nutmeg. All of my furbabies are rescues and two have physical disabilities, so I have personal experience caring for special pets who need a little extra attention! My family has been fostering and training service dogs for over 20 years, first for Guiding Eyes for the Blind on the east coast, and then for Can Do Canines in Minnesota. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a double major in wildlife ecology and biology. I took a course in Canine Psychology and coordinated a club program for students to volunteer to train dogs at the local humane society to help make them more adoptable. I have worked at PetSmart as a Pet Care Specialist, where I learned the best care practices for all pets from fish to birds, geckos to guinea pigs. Following that, I worked at Animal Humane Society as an Adoption Specialist and as a Transport Driver, where I had an opportunity to drive across the country to save animals from overcrowded shelters. I have handled cats and dogs of all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and abilities. My passion for animals encompasses every aspect of my life, and I became a vegetarian in 2010 to support animal rights. In my free time I enjoy reading, yoga, collecting houseplants, and visiting local breweries. I am so lucky to be able to spend time with your pets and call it a job!

Tonya

Dog Walker

Hi! My name is Tonya! I am a lifelong dog lover. Over the years I have had several dogs and currently have three dogs of my own. I am also involved in rescue and volunteer and foster dogs. I am especially partial to the bully breeds like rottweilers and pit bulls. They hold a special place in my heart and I like to advocate for them to erase their stigma. I work at a local community center and in my spare time like to hang out with friends and check out the local dog friendly breweries. I love working for Pup Culture and meeting all of the different dogs and seeing their personalities. I enjoy providing peace of mind to doggie parents when they are away from home. I look forward to meeting you and your fu

I’m a huge animal lover and have been since I was a kid. In the past, I worked at a pet hotel and volunteered in the cat room at the Animal Humane Society. I realize how much your pet misses you when you are away. Be assured I give out plenty of love, attention and reassurance when I visit at your home.

Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

I love animals and currently have two dogs of my own. One is a German Shepherd, the other is an Australian Terrier. My little one is diabetic and needs insulin shots twice a day so I am experienced in giving shots if needed. I have been with a pet walking/pet sitting business for over two years and have taken care of the typical dogs and cats but also fish, lizards, rabbits, gerbils, and Guinea pigs. I care for each pet with the love I would give if it were my own.
