If your small pup is not a fan of cold Minnesota winters, but they have some energy to burn, small dog owners are now in luck! There is a new small dog indoor dog park that opened in Minnetonka last month.
Indoor Zoomies Dog Park has room for small dogs to run around and play with others. Dogs must be 30 pounds or under. We went on a cold Tuesday evening before Christmas and there were about 6-7 dogs there. All of the owners were very attentive to their dogs, and the owner of Indoor Zoomies is very friendly and professional. The area consists of a space for the dogs to run around and some equipment for the dogs to climb on. There are also restrooms and chairscfor dog owners to use. Overall I highly recommend Indoor Zoomies if you have a small social dog who could use some exercise and safe playtime with other small dogs.
Dog owners are responsible for monitoring their dogs’ own behaviors and removing them if necessary. Any dogs that are displaying aggressive behavior may be asked to leave. Dogs must be current on vaccinations. Dog owners must keep their dogs leashed as they’re entering and leaving Zoomies.
You should register your dog on their website before going to Zoomies. Their current hours are Tuesday-Friday 4:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 8:00am-12:00pm.
If you’ve got a larger dog, there are a few other indoor dog park options in the Twin Cities. You can check out Brew Park in Plymouth or Unleashed Hops and Hounds in Minneapolis.
Could you small dog still use a break during the workday? We’d love to help your small pup out with midday walks. Get started here or give us a call at 651-236-7312.
